Midwest USA GP visits orphanage GP Danny Mac in Spring 2007 delivered more goods and money for the underprivileged children as part of Midwest USA's continued commitment to Bahay ni San Jose. Ninety two orphan residents, whose ages range from as young as 1-month old to teens, and some with disabilities, were jubilant to finally have met the Midwest USA leader who supports them and their basic needs. Danny met with Sister Leoncia, Nanay Remy, and other volunteer teachers of the orphanage. He toured the facility and spent the day with the children to get to know them better. Here are some pictures taken during the visit. The orphans were touched by the Midwest USA's generosity and compassion. Little did they know, it was them who touched Danny...
Invisible Love, Visible Actions Beta Sigma Fraternity Midwest USA, under the leadership of GP Danny Mac, sent in 2006 8 boxes of donated toys, shoes, clothing, and other non-perishable items to Bahay ni San Jose, Home for God’s Special Children in San Antonio, Nueva Ecija as part of its commitment to social responsibility. In addition, the Midwest USA Chapter also sent 20 sacks of rice and canned goods to help feed the underprivileged children. Bahay ni San Jose is run by nuns and is dedicated to care for children who are orphans, abused, abandoned, neglected, and those with disabilities. Bahay ni San Jose provides home with a loving atmosphere and Christian environment. Beta Sigma Fraternity Midwest USA envisions to do more charitable works to the most disadvantaged areas of the Philippines. Hopefully, this would raise awareness in the Betan Community and drive positive change to achieve its vision.
